Mood and Food Header Image

Synopsis

Food can be used as a coping strategy to deal with difficult feelings.  This can make losing weight a challenge and may lead to low mood and low self-esteem which causes a vicious cycle of eating more and feeling worse.

In this training we will discuss and understand why this occurs and develop skills to help manage the cycle. This training is based on a psychological model of Acceptace and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Outcomes

We can help identify patterns about what you eat and why.  We also use mindful eating practices to become more aware and develop skills to have a healthier relationship with food.

Suitable for

Anyone who is worried that they are struggling with their relationship with food.
